2024 Auditions
For those brand new to our festival, you will be asked to perform a monologue or scene from a script of your choice. You may also be asked to read a scene with other actors or take part in improvisation exercises. You will have the opportunity to present two monologues: one comedic and one dramatic. Both should be presented in the accent you would wish to perform with. Be prepared to take direction from the casting director and producers. Be open to feedback.
The review of your audition will focus on staging and blocking, projection and diction, physicality and presence. For roles in contention, call backs or additional activity could be required. All auditions are to consider you for your role and placement in our festival structure. You may be asked to do an apprentice year dependent on your strength as an actor.
For returning members of Cast, the audition process requires a complete Showcase. A showcase is a fully documented character, and the ability to present 3 complete interactions based on Educate, Inform & Entertain. Any deviations from the process need to be discussed well in advance to the Audition Date.
This event will be Sunday, February 18th from 9 AM - 3 PM at the Castle of Muskogee within the Great Hall. We will also accept video auditions until 5 PM on 2/18/24. Video submissions will need to be emailed to the Street Cast Director.
All auditions will be for characters below.
We suggest a minimal degree of understanding of the character for context and presentation.
