First Responders Information for 2018 Festival
"OKRF Cast,
Tis the season for First Responder training at The Castle. If you would like to be part of our Castle Responder team, please email Michael Wilson at [email protected] to be put on the roster. The class will be held on January 13th from 9:00am to 1:00pm at The Castle of Muskogee. The cost for certification is $30 and that includes a 2 year American Red Cross certification in Adult, Child and Infant CPR/AED and First Aid as well as a custom pin that you will wear during festival to show that you are part of the team. You must be at least 18 years old and physically able to perform CPR to get your certification.
For those of you who have an active certification from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association in CPR/AED and First Aid, you are not required to take this class, but are welcome to audit it as a refresher at no cost. You are required, however, to either attend a Castle-specific presentation on how our team operates at the Castle, ambulance entrances, and other processes we use to keep impact to the festival at a minimum while keeping safety the #1 priority. This presentation will be given by Michael on final academy weekend. If you will not be present at final academy, please email Michael to get a personal briefing on these processes.
If you already have a certification that is active, your cost will only be $5 for the pin.
Thanks and Happy Holidays!"
Thanks,
Michael
